For this to work, you need to name your argument the same as the parameter of the function that will take it. If there is no parameter named that way, this won't work. So in most cases, you have to be in control of the function that will take the argument which greatly reduces usability. Not to mention that this is more verbose than simply wrapping it into an array and then unpacking it.
